I’m Amanda, founder of Diosa Spray Tans, with 3 years of hands-on industry experience working with all skin tones, undertones, and body types. My approach to spray tanning is rooted in skin science, color theory, and consistency.

I was named Sunless Content Creator of the Year (2024) and am the preferred spray tan artist for the Miss Austin, TX Organization, experiences that reflect both technical excellence and brand trust.

Alongside my work in the industry, I am currently earning my MBA in Marketing. This allows me to go beyond teaching application alone and provide guidance on how to build, position, and grow a spray tan business with intention.

Lecture + Technical Training Manual Overview
We’ll cover the fundamentals, science, and artistry behind spray tanning, including solution selection, color theory, application techniques, and client preparation.

12:45 PM – 1:15 PM
Live Demonstration
Amanda walks through a full spray tan application from start to finish, explaining each step and the reasoning behind it for consistent, flawless results.

1:15 PM – 2:00 PM
Technique Practice (Craft Paper)
Students will begin with guided practice on craft paper to develop proper gun control, movement, and spraying distance before working on live models.
This step is designed to build confidence and ensure a smooth transition into hands-on application.

2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Hands-On Model Training
Students will practice on live models under direct instructor supervision.

4:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Wrap-Up + Technical Q&A
Final questions, technique review, and key takeaways from the hands-on portion of training.

Before your in-person session, you’ll enroll in our online training course, designed to prepare you fully for hands-on learning. This must be completed prior to your in-person training.

Once in person, we begin with the lecture portion of training, walking through the full training manual together.

  • Answer questions and clarify real-world scenarios

  • Connect theory to technique

This step bridges knowledge with execution.

  • No prior experience is necessary. This training is designed for beginners and beauty professionals alike. We’ll walk you through every step, from spray technique to client care so you feel confident and prepared.

    In most U.S. states, a professional license (like esthetics or cosmetology) is not required to offer spray tanning. However, the state of Oregon currently requires a license.

  • The In-Person course come with a curated starter kit to support your training, including:

    Please note: Larger equipment such as spray tan machines, tents, and extraction fans are not included in course enrollment, as every artist's business setup and vision is unique. You will be provided a PDF at the end of training with discount codes to purchase your own items.

    • Online: A self-paced course you can complete on your own time, with ongoing support.

    • In-Person: One-day intensive 6-hour training session.

    We’ll provide everything you need for training day, including up to three models for hands-on practice. If you're local and would prefer to bring your own models, you're welcome to do so, just let us know in advance.

    We’ll also have snacks and water available, so you can stay focused and comfortable.

    We recommend wearing dark, comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes, as spray tan solution may transfer during practice.
